I Chose 3 Cruises for 2019!

Get ready for 2019 Cruises

I picked a few from one of my favorite cruise line that qualifies for early booking bonus of $1,000!

CARIBBEAN BREEZESVOYAGE DATES:10-DEC-2019 - 19-DEC-2019

"This is just what you need before Christmas: a zero-stress adventure and a suntan, plus a few days for spa and poolside pampering. How is that?

Cozumel is where turquoise waters, palm lined beaches, and gorgeous reefs attract divers, snorkelers, and everyone who loves to fish, boat or simply soak up the peaceful, laid-back atmosphere.

Costa Maya is the gateway to the less-traveled Mayan ruins of Chacchoben and Kohunlich. While less fully excavated than Tulum and Uxmal, these sites will nonetheless make you appreciate the sophisticated Mayans, so far ahead of their time.

In Santo Tomas de Castilla you’ll visit a World Heritage Mayan site dating back to 200 AD, or fit in some high-quality eco-touring in Las Escobas Spring and Rio Dulce National Park.

While in George Town, don’t miss spectacular Seven Mile Beach, one of the most beautiful stretches of sand in the Caribbean. You might also like a visit to Stingray City where the docile creatures like to be fed and petted.

You’ve still got time to start (or finish) your holiday shopping at Key West, the most famous of the Florida Keys off the coast of Miami, where you’ll have a full day to stroll the shops and galleries."

ARABIA, INDIA HOLIDAY VOYAGE and An Eclipse - VOYAGE DATES:17-DEC-2019 - 28-DEC-2019

"Give yourself and loved ones an unforgettable holiday gift: a total annular solar eclipse from sea. Our timing and location couldn’t be better for this dramatic event that will take place on December 26 at 9 AM. And that’s just one of many reasons to say “yes” to this exotic holiday getaway.

The party begins in Dubai with an overnight stay. Reserve your spot for tea at the luxurious Burj Al Arab hotel, take a ride to the top floors of Burj Khalifa, and shop for all that glitters at the Gold Souk. Don’t miss Doha’s Museum of Islamic Art, a showcase of 1,400 years of art from three continents. Abu Dhabi is another delightful experience, and the jaw-dropping jewel here is Sheikh Zayed Mosque, an astounding monument whose beauty rivals the Taj Mahal. Yas Island is a playground for adults, where you can race on a Formula One track or ride the world’s fastest roller coaster. In Muscat you’ll find a beautifully preserved old city, splendid beaches, traditional souks and the elegant Al Bustan Palace Hotel. All that and an eclipse too. Happy holidays!"

ALASKA INTENSIVE VOYAGE Sailing from May 25, 2019 - June 04, 2019

"Begin with a bang as we sail to blue-lit Hubbard Glacier—a fitting introduction to a region where nature makes the rules and people follow them. Be part of immersive experiences in every port: learn native Tlingit history in Icy Straits, explore the Russian fur-trapper culture of Sitka, and re-live the gold-rush era with a spine-tingling ride on the White Pass narrow-gauge railway in Skagway. You’ll have a front-row seat as we sail Alaska’s Inside Passage, a showcase of glacier-capped mountains, winding fjords, small islands and wildlife. Go dog-sledding, take a hike in scenic Tongass National Forest, canoe through icebergs to Mendenhall Glacier, and sip a brew at the Red Onion, a former gold rush brothel. The TV show Northern Exposure was filmed in Haines, a quintessential Alaskan town, and you’ll get to soak up all the beauty of this little jewel without the crowds (big ships can’t dock here). Birders won’t want to miss the beautiful Valley of the Eagles where eagles breed and soar. Re-enter city life gently in Victoria’s walkable, pretty harbor, and sip high tea at the famous Empress Hotel before arrival in Vancouver."

INCLUSIVE AMENITIES - (Ask for details +)

MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR CRUISE VACATION with these on shore excursion experiences, which are a great way to get to know the local life and culture in every port, and meet local people, too.

AWARD-WINNING AMENITIES & ACCOMMODATIONS.

Enjoy the comfortable social spaces of bars, restaurants, lounges, Casino and Cabaret.
Attentive staff, modern amenities, furnishings, and European linens.

There’s nothing better than opening your door to the fresh sea air and views. Azamara’s friendly ships are an altogether wonderful place to call your home away from home!

18 Night Indian Ocean Adventure Voyage

Indian Ocean Adventure 2018

Let’s begin with the first step - imagine modern architecture, incredibly clean, and one of the safest cities in the world! Where could this be? It is a small country in Asia. But, hey, we are going on a cruise. How about visiting 8 cities or 7 countries? I would love to get on an Indian Adventure!

Arrive a day ahead and be rested. Enjoy the surroundings while waiting for the big cruise of excitement. It is always a great thing to be early for a relaxing wait. After all, you are having a vacation so why not make the most of it? Explore, experience and enjoy every moment of it! Here’s a snippet of each places to visit for Indian Adventure 2018. Although it applies more on a tour packages, nevertheless, it is a journey we all can take in many different ways.

Singapore

A country like Singapore can be toured in a day! I have been there and stayed three days. Three days is right but a day is works too! A day’s tour to enjoy the modern architecture, the cleanliness and safe too! People do speak English and Chinese, an advantage to those from English speaking countries when here for a visit.

Famous Sentosa island is a great start where you’ll visit Merlion Tower and Tiger Sky Tower for a panoramic view of the island! Experience central Singapore during the vibrant evening hours. Visit a traditional Chinese medical hall, walk through the bustling Night Market and go shopping!

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

This is the destination I was going to at one point but never did make it, except my luggage! And my luggage had a valuable experience staying in the hotels for my tour package. The only thing that’s missing are pictures. “Grin” I wasn’t there…
After modern architecture, experience Kuala Lumpur, a jungle until the 19th century but today an affluent metropolis. It’s home of the iconic 88-story Petronas Towers.  Love caves? Explore Batu Caves, a limestone hill with several caves to experience.

Adding to the adventure is stopping at George Town. A colorful and multicultural city, the capital of the Malaysian island of Penang known for its British colonial buildings, Chinese shophouses and mosques. Part of George Town is a modern city with skyscrapers and shopping malls for those who love shopping. If time allows, hiking can be a clever way to enjoy the overlooking scene. After a tiring hike, come to enjoy Malaysian stir fry food at stalls you can see abundant by road sides. Penang is also known for being "food paradise" in the region, offering a diverse and exotic mix of Malay, Indian, Chinese and western cuisine. I smell “hawker food" just now.

Phuket Thailand

Taste the beauty of Phuket’s beaches with the many high-end seaside resorts, spas and restaurants! Time to lower our feet and enjoy the clear waters. Phuket City, the capital, has old shophouses and busy markets to stroll as well.

Being Thailand’s largest island, Phuket is a beautiful rainforest and mountainous with Forest, rubber, and palm oil plantations cover 60 percent of the island.

After all, Thai words, "phu" (mountain) of "ket" (jewel) isn’t it?

Myanmar

Golden pagodas, colonial-era buildings, shop houses and jazz-age mansions waits in Yangon in Myanmar. Yangon is the country's largest city. It is home to bustling markets, numerous parks and lakes, and the towering, gilded Shwedagon Pagoda and also known as the Great Dagon Pagoda and the Golden Pagoda, which contains Buddhist relics and dominating the Yangon skyline you’ll never miss it!

Myanmar (formerly Burma) is one of the Southeast Asian nations of more than 100 ethnic groups, bordering India, Bangladesh, China, Laos and Thailand.

Colombo, Sri Lanka

Then it’s on to the spice island of Sri Lanka, where cinnamon and clove gardens make the air amazing, and temples honor the ground where Buddha walked. Visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage where these charming animals are not orphans at all, but wander in family groups. There are different activities to participate like Milk Feeding, Bathing and Fruit Feeding. Such an amazing experience to bath and feed an elephant! It is located at Pinnawala village, 13 km northeast of Kegalle town in Sabaragamuwa Province of Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka, with Its diverse landscapes range from rainforest and arid plains to highlands and sandy beaches is famed for its ancient Buddhist ruins; with its fortress and murals. Fascinating Sri Lanka!

Kochi, India

Kochi has been a port since 1341, when a flood carved out its harbor and opened it to Arab, Chinese and European merchants. Sites reflecting those influences include Fort Kochi, a settlement with tiled expatriate cottages and various houses of worship. Cantilevered Chinese fishing nets, typical of Kochi, have been in use for centuries.

From Kochi, you can take an optional plane ride for an overnight at the Taj Mahal, a must on anyone’s bucket list, captivating with a hint of religion. Wander this crazy, state-of-the-art city past colorful temples, along Mumbai’s Chowpatty Beach, into restaurants with sizzling crab, and above adjoining shopping centers.

Or get a glimpse into Kochi’s rich history and heritage, showcasing the mixed Dutch, Portuguese, British and Jewish influences that make the city unique. Visit some of the most popular attractions in Kochi including the Chinese Fishing Nets, Fort Cochin, Mattancherry, St. Francis Church, Dutch Cemetery, Jewish Synagogue, and Dutch Palace.

Explore the quaint streets of this city on foot. Visit Fort Kochi’s seaside promenade to get a glimpse of daily life in Kochi. Stop by the St. Francis Church, one of India’s oldest European churches, built by the Portuguese Franciscan Friars.

Must try vada pao; a gigantic bun with potato cutlet filling. Vada pao is an essential rite of passage in Mumbai. The topping is extremely spicy, enjoy it cautiously. Visit white sand Chowpatty Beach and get ready to be amuse; watching monkeys dancing on the beach. One can also find snake-charmers who entertain the crowds with their antics and fortune-tellers too!
Many tourists come to experience camel and horse rides here and for those who love yoga, this beach is a perfect place to perform Yoga 'Asanas', jogging and for the whole family.

Dubai

Dubai has emerged as a global city and business hub of the Middle East. Foodies will delight in eating authentic global cuisine from traditional “maqluba” a casserole with rice, lamb or chicken, and eggplant which is commonly served in Bedouin homes to famed chef Jamie Oliver’s Italian restaurant in the Jumeirah Beach Hotel. Then head to a dance temple or a cocktail cavern for an evening of intrigue.

Dubai is known for luxury shopping, ultramodern architecture and a lively nightlife scene. Tall tower Burj Khalifa, dominates the skyscraper-filled skyline. At its foot lies Dubai Fountain, with jets and lights choreographed to music. On artificial islands just offshore is Atlantis, The Palm, a resort with water and marine-animal parks.

And now back to reality, I will reminisce all these beautiful memories again.

Destinations To Visit In Philippines

To Travel The Philippines

The 7107 islands at it’s best. With so many islands to visit, it will take years to see them all! I am just kidding… I would like to but there are other countries to travel too! So, I will be sharing only a few popular attractions to you.

Philippines is also famous for Lechon. In Filipino, Litson. On special occasions like fiesta, lechon is always present, a sign of Filipino Culture. Nowadays, litson is becoming a regular for small gatherings at home and even buy by the kilos when you crave for it as there are many small stalls selling now. It is very delicious!

Another worth mentioning that is special to Filipinos is Halo Halo, close to Mahalo in Hawaiian greeting thank you. Barbecue stick, thin slices of pork on a stick and hanging rice go together for an easy meal, cheap and fast, the American way of fast food! Lastly, I need to add Balut! What do you want? A day old chick still intact in its shell? Oh so good!

These are a few nuggets about Philippines. There are more to talk about, words doesn’t end because Philippines is a country rich in history, food, friendship, music and more! Philippines has a lot to offer to any travelers that enjoy different activities such water sports, nature discovery, hands on adventures, pristine beaches, diverse culture experience, laid back and relaxing at the beach, enjoy the food.

Why Philippines?

A few things that stood out recommending Philippines for your travel destination is easy to understand. Filipinos are known for their hospitality. It is a legendary hospitality of friendship and family. Go visit someone and you sure will know how hospitable a Filipino can be. You will be offered the best of what they have!

Communication – the fact that English is the medium of instruction in most schools, made Filipinos able to communicate with English speakers around the world.
Crossroad of Asia Pacific – from Philippines, you can almost travel to other countries easy.

Safe and Secure – talking of safety, the first and foremost idea is to be aware. It is safe in the city. Just like any other place, it is a good idea to stay with the crowd and not be alone in dark alleys.
Diversity – Philippines is diverse in culture and natural attractions. With its 7,107 island and 100 million people for a small country, it is diversely influenced by Spain, America, Japan and maybe more...

Value – lastly or maybe value should be first, especially for the budget travelers. Right now the conversion is $1 = Php50. Meaning, your dollars will stretch a long long way when visiting Philippines.

Imagine having a spa for $10 – $20 an hour? Depending how upscale the place you go to. Sometimes, you can even get lower than that.

Love beer? It is only less than a dollar, approximately $0.60 a bottle of beer. Of course, it is going to be San Miguel Beer, popular beer of the Philippines.

How To Get There

Philippines is divided into three namely Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao. Major gateways are Cebu and Manila. Manila can be crowded since it is bigger compared to Cebu. However, with travel becoming convenient, Cebu is catching up with Manila too! Just have to figure out what is best for your trip – the price, the lay over, the convenience and what not to consider when flying to different destinations. Recently, the new allowed to stay duration is now 30 days stay with no visa. It use to be 21 days and no visa. Once, I overstayed 1 day and have to pay $50 for extension! I pay attention from then on, not to go over 21 days stay in the Philippines.

Travel time for international flight is 12 hours from Los Angeles & San Francisco, 16 hours from New York and Chicago. Philippines is only a little over 3 hours away from Japan, Thailand, Bali, Korea and less than two hours from Taiwan and HongKong.

More and more airlines cater to Philippine travel, making it more convenient to visit. The national airline of the Philippines is Philippine Air Line (PAL) followed by other airline - Eva Air, Cathay Pacific, Korean Air, Asiana Airline that fly you to Philippines from the following hub – New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Honolulu, Vancouver, Toronto, Chicago, Houston, Seattle to name a few.

Here Are My Destination Goals To Travel Philippines

Bohol

Bohol is known for Tarsier, the smallest monkey in the world, the size is perfect on your palm. You can touch them gently and even buy them now. The only problem would be, early death for these cute little monkeys who love their habitat and get sad when taken away from it.  Additional place that is popular in Bohol is Chocolate Hills, like giant Hersheys spread all over the land, brown during summer, looking like chocolate shade.

Boracay

By this time, you must have heard of Boracay, a small island in the Central Philippines. The only way to get there is by a small boat unless you consider going with your stand paddle. It is known for it’s resorts and beaches, white sand streak by palm trees, bars and restaurants a few yards from the clear water. Considered one of the top ten for world’s best island. With white sand, night life and food, you will sure enjoy your stay at Boracay.  Another new thing is Mermaid/ Mermen Academy where you will learn how to become a mermaid or mermen, swim like them. Something different!

On the east coast, strong winds make Bulabog Beach a hub for water sports. Nearby, the observation deck on Mount Luho offers panoramic views over the island. Offshore, coral reefs and shipwrecks are home to diverse marine life.

Palawan

One place that is becoming popular is the El Nido, Palawan, bare and raw for you to discover. It is voted as one of the World’s Best Island. Why not? It has all the beauty to offer, the beaches are amazing! Clear water and blue sky, reflecting on waves as it rolls and wobble on the big blue sea. It’s known for white-sand beaches, coral reefs and as the gateway to the Bacuit archipelago, a group of islands with steep karst cliffs. Miniloc Island is famed for the clear waters of its Small and Big lagoons. Nearby Shimizu Island has fish-filled waters. The area has many dive sites, including Dilumacad Island’s long tunnel leading to an underwater cavern.  I can’t wait to visit this year!

Looking for a private island destination? Amanpulo  at Pamalican Island and Huma Island, both offering privacy and style, offering stay in water houses. Isn’t that cool? Waking up in the morning with water around you…I can just imagine, the fresh air, the blue sky and the clear water just a few steps down.

And oh, Coron is an exciting place to discover as well, being away from the busy life.

Siargao

I’ve heard about Siargao a lot of times, thou I have not been there. It is known for Surfing. One of the world’s top surf spots and a private resort to enjoy. Siargao is a tear-drop shaped island in the Philippine Sea in the province of Surigao del Norte and has a land area of approximately 437 square kilometres. Great for surfing! Perfect white beaches, enchanting lagoons, caves, sand bars, coral reefs, bizarre rock formations, exotic wildlife, endless rice fields, waterfalls, a large mangrove forest reserve and so much more.

Go island hopping, Eat fresh, daily seafood, enjoy the Magpupungko pool are things you can do and there’s so much more to do as long as you have the time. It is a precious place to be!

Philippines is a haven for scuba divers because of its many beach destination around the 7,107 islands or maybe more, who knows? Specifically, great for water sports enthusiasts and more! Yes, there’s more to it!

Banaue Rice Terraces

It’s long history made it one very popular place to see is the Banaue Rice Terraces for those who love architecture. What? Architecture? Well, kind of in a natural way.

The Banaue Rice Terraces are 2,000-year-old terraces like giant steps into the mountains of Ifugao by ancestors of the indigenous people. Aside from Banaue Rice Terraces, two others name Batad Rice Terraces and Bangaan Rice Terraces can be found which are less spectacular but still worth your view. The Rice Terraces are commonly referred to as the "Eighth Wonder of the World". In addition to admiring the Banaue Rice Terraces, there is also the Sagoda Hanging Coffin where you see coffins hang on the wall of the mountains, the ancient way of burying the dead. Not 6 feet under the ground, just hang them on a wall.

And more coming...
